Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 94/100 Opaque violet color. Oak spice- and mineral-tinged dark berries, potpourri, olive, vanilla and a hint of smoky bacon on the deeply perfumed nose. Juicy, pliant and appealingly sweet, offering lush blueberry, cherry liqueur, candied licorice and fruitcake flavors that are supported by a core of juicy acidity. Steadily building tannins add grip to an impressively persistent and detailed finish that strongly echoes the floral and vanilla notes. Give this one some time to allow the oak to settle down. All new oak.
