The 2021 Riesling Scharzhofberger (White Capsule) opens with a fascinating, pure, fresh and intense, ethereal or aerial nose with a concentrated core of ripe, even yellow fruits but also the merciless mineral expression of the Scharzhofberg. Round, refined and highly elegant on the palate, this is a powerful and very dense, super complex and concentrated, enormously saline and finely tannic Scharzhofberger with a long, intense and again powerful, still slightly bitter finish with tonic lemon juice notes on the aftertaste. It's a terrific dry Scharzhofberger that is sold as Qualitätswein without Prädikat Auslese.
