The 2022 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese (Golden Capsule) is clear, intense and complex on the nose that intertwines a crunchy blue/gray slate tone with an elegant, perfectly ripe yet discreet fruit aroma reminiscent of lush and fleshy stone fruits. It is rich yet crystalline and savory on the palate, with pronounced and mouthwatering acidity and a persistent mineral expression. This is a gorgeous WSU Spätlese with a long and aromatic finish reminiscent of stewed apples and fresh lemon juice. 95/100.
