The 2022 Riesling Ockfener Bockstein Spätlese (Green Capsule) is the perfect wine for sushi. It is clear, fine and fresh on the pure nose, slightly tropical in its fruit aromas yet also flinty (even reminiscent of ashes) and driven by its slate origin. On the palate, this is a well-balanced, seamless and super elegant Bockstein with a perfect amount of residual sugar. Quaff this Riesling in large slugs and enjoy the fleshy Spätlese character. 94/100.
