A big monster of a wine is the 2015 Côte Rôtie Rozier, which is packed with notions of black fruits, charred meats, licorice and smoked earth. Full-bodied, concentrated and dense yet with a seamless texture and a great finish, it’s loaded with potential but is going to require patience. 93-95/100.
Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 91-93/100. Dark purple. An explosively perfumed bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, incense and vanilla, and a sexy floral overtone builds in the glass. Coats the palate with sweet, deeply concentrated, spice-tinged boysenberry, cherry liqueur and violet pastille flavors; juicy acidity provides shape and lift. Vanilla, mocha and dark fruit preserve notes linger on a very long, expansive finish framed by supple tannins.
