Dusty yellow flowers, dried peaches, hints of lime and crushed stone all can be found in the alluring and floral bouquet of the 2019 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Villa Torre. It’s soft yet perfectly framed by brisk acids, as sweet spices and ripe orchard fruits slowly fade, leaving hints of tart citrus and salty minerals in their wake. From start to finish, there’s not a thing out of place in this energetic yet soothing Verdicchio. It's also a tremendous value ! 90/100.
Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 91/100. Bright pale straw-green. Fresh floral aromas of nectarine, pear and yellow apple are complicated by potpourri. Then steely and juicy, with good inner-mouth perfume to the ripe apple and pear flavors. Finishes bright and savory. This spends four months on the lees and is aged in stainless steel only. The vines are on average 20 years old.
