PULIGNY MONTRACHET 1ER CRU CHAMPS GAINS 2013

P.Y. Colin-Morey

Www.burghound.com: A riper and slightly more complex if no more elegant nose features notes of white flower, pear and white peach. The rich, round and plump medium weight flavors possess plenty of mid-palate fat that is perfectly offset by a firm acid spine, all wrapped in balanced, intense and lingering finish. Lovely. (90-93)/2017+ JancisRobinson.com: Introvert and chiselled. Dense and lots to chew on. Solid and dry. 17/20 Antonio Galloni's Vinous: 94/100. One of the most closed and shut down wines in this range, the 2011 Puligny-Montrachet Champs Gain clearly has a lot to say, but that isn't going to happen today. The 2011 boasts superior density and power from start to finish. Hints of almonds, white flowers and spices inform the virtually endless finish. This is a super impressive showing, not to mention a wine with a bright, bright future. I very much like the sense of energy and vibrancy
