Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 93/100. Moderately saturated bright dark red. Pristine, precise scents of blackberry, dark cherry, violet and crushed-rock minerality. Densely packed and sharply delineated; silky if not exactly fleshy and in need of time in bottle to blossom. Wonderfully pure flavors of dark berries, flowers, licorice and bitter chocolate. Finishes with suave, broad tannins and terrific mounting juicy persistence. The yield here was just 22 hectoliters per hectare due to hail, according to Gros. This brilliantly pure wine may be even better than my range suggests.
